Experience
I went to the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, where I earned a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and elementary education, along with an ESL minor. I now teach at the elementary level in a virtual school, and I enjoy working with students at all levels of ability. I have four years of experience teaching through the virtual school, and I really enjoy the fact that I can focus on each individual. I customize my approach for each student to help them learn in the most effective and engaging way possible. I can tutor a number of different subjects, but my favorites are writing, social studies, and reading. I believe every student should be given the opportunity to receive quality education, and it often takes the individualized approach but tutoring can offer to help students get that. I want to help my students feel proud of themselves and become confident in their ability to learn successfully. When I have free time, I like to read, participate in book clubs, do yoga, walk my dog, camp, backpack, visit national parks, and fish.
